  • Kestrel’s top banana Cormac O’Prey was put through his paces on the Institution of Engineering and Technology stand at this year’s Cambridge Science Festival. Children and adults were invited to try a range of experiments using generators, capacitor storage banks, plasma globes and electromagnets, and could make their own LED torches. The stand was very well attended with multiple repeat visitors encouraged to ask Cormac and colleagues “How does that work?”. Happily we knew the answers – well, most of them!
